Polynomials and Art:
This was a math project used to teach us about polynomials. To create this project, a picture with curves was chosen, and then polynomial lines were drawn onto the picture. Points and an equation were then found for each line, and then re-graphed onto another graph to create a new picture using the original lines. I used a picture of Rapunzel from Tangled the movie, and then using the mines from this picture drew a picture of a whale in an ocean.
I enjoyed doing this project and being able to get artsy with it. It is hard to create projects out of math so this was a fun and creative way to incorporate what we are learning into a piece of work that we can get creative with. Through this project I was able to get a better understanding of polynomials because it put a visual piece to the concept we were learning.
